YouFO Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and YouFO LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("YouFO," "we," "us," or "our"). They cover your use of the YouFO iOS app ("YouFO" or the "App"). YouFO stands for You. Finances. Opportunities. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use YouFO. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. YouFO requires an Apple device running iOS 17 or later.

2. What YouFO Is (and Isn't)

YouFO is a personal budgeting and planning tool. You enter all information yourself, including recurring income and expenses, spending estimates, savings set-asides for yearly bills, account balances, purchase goals, a loan calculator, cash-versus-loan retirement impact estimates, future projections of up to 50 years ("Time Warp"), a retirement estimate ("Sunset"), meal ideas and recipes, an emergency-prep supply list, and notes. The App can also share a budget through iCloud and send optional local reminders.

YouFO does not connect to your bank, hold your money, move money, or process payments. Its calculations depend entirely on what you enter.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and device secure. You can turn on optional Face ID app lock. You can export your data to CSV and delete your account inside the App at any time.

4. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App, except as allowed by law. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose;
• try to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems;
• use the App to store or share content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful;
• use shared features to harass or harm others; or
• circumvent subscription features or license restrictions.

6. Your Content

You own the information you enter ("User Content"). Your data is stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We do not operate a server for your data and cannot see it. Because of this, you are responsible for your data, including backups. We cannot recover data that is deleted from your device or iCloud.

Family sharing. Family sharing uses Apple's iCloud sharing (CKShare). The owner acts as admin and can give invitees read-only or edit access to a snapshot of the budget. Invitees see a snapshot copy that the owner republishes by tapping Update Shared Copy; it is not updated in real time, and edits made by invitees do not currently merge back into the owner's data. If you share:

• you are responsible for having the authority to share the information (including any information about other people) and for choosing whom you invite and what access they get;
• shared data becomes visible to, and (with edit access) changeable or deletable by, participants within their own snapshot copy, and may persist on their devices or in their copies after you stop sharing or remove their access;
• YouFO LLC does not see shared data and is not responsible for what participants do with it; and
• Apple's iCloud terms and policies apply to sharing.

Deleting your account removes all local records, deletes your private iCloud sync zone, and deletes the family-sharing zone, so invitees lose access on their next sync. Data already downloaded to an invitee's device may remain until their app syncs or is removed.

Notifications. Optional local reminders (such as a payday balance reminder and monthly set-aside check-ins) are scheduled and delivered on your device only. You can control them in the App and in iOS Settings. We do not guarantee that any notification will be delivered or delivered on time, so don't rely on them as your only reminder for bills or deadlines.

Feedback. The App's screenshot prompt, Suggest an Improvement, and Report a Problem features open a draft in your own Mail app (with an optional screenshot plus app version, iOS version, and device model). Nothing is sent unless you tap Send. If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant YouFO LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you. Please don't include sensitive financial information in screenshots.

7. Premium Features and Subscriptions

YouFO's premium subscription unlocks premium features such as charts and monthly reports. It is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through Apple In-App Purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. We cannot issue refunds directly. You can request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

Recipes (including optional external recipe links) and other entries may link to outside websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, content, or services. Your use of them is at your own risk and under their terms. We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. YouFO is for educational, informational, and organizational purposes only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or credit advice, and YouFO LLC is not a financial advisor, lender, or broker. The loan calculator, cash-versus-loan retirement impact, Time Warp projections (up to 50 years), and Sunset retirement estimate (which uses general rules of thumb such as the 4% rule, inflation assumptions, savings milestones, and the rule of 72) produce hypothetical estimates based on your inputs and simplified assumptions. Built-in estimated average rates are stored in the App, are not live, may be outdated or inaccurate, and are not offers of credit or a quote from any lender. Actual rates, returns, inflation, and results will differ. We make no guarantee of any outcome. Consult a qualified financial, tax, or legal professional before making financial decisions.

Emergency preparedness. The emergency-prep supply list is based on publicly available guidance from Ready.gov/FEMA and the American Red Cross. It is general information only, may be incomplete or out of date, may not fit your household, location, or health needs, and is not a substitute for official emergency instructions. Always follow instructions from local authorities and emergency officials. In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number). To the fullest extent permitted by law, YouFO LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from reliance on the list.

Recipes and meals. Meal ideas and recipe content are for general information only. They are not nutritional, dietary, allergy, or medical advice. Check ingredients for allergies and follow safe food handling practices. Optional external recipe links lead to third-party websites governed by their own terms and privacy policies (see Section 8).

Third-party names; no affiliation. References to FEMA, Ready.gov, the American Red Cross, Fidelity Investments (including "Fidelity-style" savings milestones), Apple, and other third parties are for identification and reference only. Their names and marks belong to their owners. YouFO and YouFO LLC are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them or by the U.S. government.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not promise the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data will never be lost.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOUFO LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR SAVINGS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO YOUFO LLC FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. IF YOU PAID NOTHING, OUR LIABILITY IS ZERO TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless YouFO LLC and its members, managers, and agents from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your User Content, your sharing of data with others, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. On termination, your license ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Your Content, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, and Governing Law) will survive.

13. Apple Terms

These Terms are between you and YouFO LLC only, not Apple. In addition:

• Apple not a party. Apple Inc. is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Maintenance and support. YouFO LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
• Warranty. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
• Claims. YouFO LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• Intellectual property. If a third party claims the App infringes its intellectual property, YouFO LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, these Terms control to the extent permitted.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law where you live.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
